Notes from the Indie Media Arts South Regional Meeting
A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure of attending the Indie Media Arts South (IMAS) Regional Meeting — a dynamic gathering of artists, filmmakers, and media organizations working to build a more equitable and sustainable independent media ecosystem across the South.
In this session, we first explored audience building and distribution strategy, where I shared practical frameworks for reaching audiences directly.
But I also gave a short presentation about the Future Film Coalition which has been rapidly growing since our town hall in February. One of our recent newsletters had a deep dive What is fin-syn and why does it matter?. I highly recomend it.
A big thank you to Molly Murphy, Clarivel Ruiz, and the entire IMAS team for bringing us together and continuing to cultivate such a thoughtful and generous community.
See you today!
Jon.
